A Visit To Ocracoke Island
This montage was shot entirely in and around Ocracoke Island. Ocracoke is “hidden gem” located on the North Carolina Coast, also known as the Outer Banks. It’s beaches have been rated among the best in North America!
The island is small, and a National Park, so be sure to book your camping sites well in advance. And the only way to get there is by Ferry, so be patient, you may have to wait awhile. We camped there for over a week, it is well worth the ferry ride! It is quiet and the small town on the island is quaint and friendly. Check out http://www.ocracokeisland.com
Some advice: Bring extra long tent stakes, and if you forget them, buy some in town. The wind can kick up something fierce and you’ll find your tent in the ocean if you don’t nail it down and good. You will be camping on sand, and it’s not as “stake friendly” as dirt.
